Design Considerations for Autonomous Cargo Transportation Multirotor UAVs

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have proven to be an advanced tool for a variety of applications in the civilian and military sectors. Different categories UAVs are used various missions also subject numerous researches. Due their characteristics potential specific conditions, multirotor imposes itself as solution many tasks, including transport. This chapter presents conceptual autonomous cargo transportation where primary research objective is design heavy lift UAV system. The process designing that can carry quite challenging due parameters constraints. Five selected series electric propulsion systems analyzed, with different configurations, results graphically displayed payloads from 10 kg up 100 kg.
